Anna loves her grandfather, so much, in fact, that she’s ready to move in with him after his second stroke. It’s the only solution he’ll agree to, since he hates being seen as an invalid. She would never see him that way, not when he’s able to walk to and from the senior center to play chess with his buddies, or tease her mercilessly about her little crush on the classic movie star, Cary Grant. Does she dare tell him about another crush she has, this one on a certain next door neighbor?

 

Alex has a lot on his plate: a challenging job as a cyber security expert, plus two young nieces to care for, one of whom seems determined to gripe and grumble at everything in her young life. He doesn’t have time for romance, especially not with a woman several years younger than him. So why can’t he get her out of his thoughts?

 

Can these two start as friends and, perhaps, after facing insecurities and misunderstandings with patience and faith, eventually find love? And not just for themselves, but for two young girls who need it most of all.

 

This is a clean and wholesome romance, which means there are no swear words and no sex scenes, though there will be plenty of swoony kisses. Intimacy between married couples may be implied (never described), and while my characters are often religious and try to live accordingly, they have thoughts, feelings and desires, just like any real person. I try to include lessons to be learned and good choices to be made regardless of situations.
